From The President’s Desk:
Hello Lee Substitute Teachers;
Just wanted to up-date you on a couple of things so you are in
the loop.
1)
Each and every month, your President, officers, and
members of the board, meet with Asst. Superintendent, Director
of Personnel and Human Relations, for the purpose to discuss
issues issues. brought to our attention by you the membership.
(these meetings are open to all members).
The meetings are referred to as
Substitute Information
meetings. We discuss
problems, issues that some people our having. etc class room
management, control, room keys etc.
At our meeting in October, your
association asked to work with the district to assign
every current substitute their own district wide e-mail, so you
can use the computers in the classroom. This now appears to
becoming a fact as the district wishes to become paperless,
Meaning future lesson plans may no-longer be written but will
appear on the classroom computer. So you can see the teachers
lesson plan on the day of the absence. This will also afford the
Association to e-mail each and every substitute in the district.
At this time we now have a program in
draft format, and we will need 20-25 substitute members to be
volunteer to test out the Program. Any Substitute willing to
volunteer, Please be among the first to call or

Advice:
Recently we have had a few substitutes who have been dropped
from LMS for one reason or the other. If you have a problem at a
school please keep a journal of events so we can see what
happened, when ,what was said, by who, time, and any
accusations. Please review the district grievance procedures.
